    Hi, Been trying to get a wireless router set up for a friend. Got everything connected up and can ping the router at 192.168.1.1. However when I try to do the setup accessing http://192.168.1.1 I just get the usual IE page "The page cannot be displayed...cannot find server or DNS error....etc"...

  • Easy 'Ping' payload query !

    Just something that's keeping me awake at nights... ! I know the default 'Ping' payload is a repeating alphabet sequence .. anybody know why it doesn't include the last 3 characters of the alphabet?! (ie. it repeats just a..w, not a..z) ? cheers,

  • Unable to ping an ip address from one of two systems. Both systems are on the same subnet going through the same default gateway. Both systems are online.

    We have been having intermittent connectivity issues to a database server. Some users occasionally fail to connect to the database and after rebooting their systems they may or maynot be able to connect. I have found out that from my office one system can connect to the database and the other one can't...

  • Response time after ping command very high

    When I ping to my router using the ping -t command the response time is around 2ms or 4ms, but once in a while it gets as high as 1700ms or 2000ms. Occasionally I get a Time out for about 5 or 10 seconds. I already changed the router but it stays the same

  • XP SP2 and Broadcast pings

    Seems like windows xp sp2, even with the firewall OFF will not respond to pings sent to the broadcast address of 192.168.1.255 Also, if you ping the broadcast address from the XP sp2 machine, you can only see replies from the first machine to respond, not all of them. This breaks a networked utility...

  • DHCP error, able to assign ip to client but that ip add is not working
