Best way to get traffic is through backlinks. I disagree with the other comment - you don't have to pay for Adwords to get high up on google. The best thing to do is make sure your content is relivant which will make your page have a high PageRank (how google scores pages) once you do this is simply a matter of having good backlinks. I'd start with places like twitter, facebook, etc. Make a profile and put your url under your profile. This will get the google bot to spider your page.
