IE 8 Error message

How to resolve this error? "Error has occurred during response. Please view the error window for more details." There is no error window displayed. It keeps popping up often.
Tried to uninstall IE 8 from Windows 7 and it will not allow me to do so. Loaded Firefox and there are no errors. So the error is within IE 8.

Solution: IE 8 Error message

i would recommend removing or disabling all tools bars.  This sounds a lot like a addware or toolbar issue.  (ie Yahoo, Google, Weather, etc)
