I want to exclude a specific user from group policy such as myself without create a new OU for him, I know that its come from security tab but Im using the group policy management (GPMC) im usin windows server 2003 sp1
Solution: I want to exclude a specific user from group policy
Hi, you can do this by removing the Read and Apply Group policy object permission from the user/group (or maybe it will be better if you set the permissions for the user to "deny" to be pretty sure he will not get this group policy object).
See attached screenshot which demonstrates where to find this feature in GPMC.
In the figure 1 is shown where to go in GPMC and figure 2 shows how to exclude the user called "test user" from being affected by the GPO called Test GPO.
