Yahoo online chat on linksys router

Hi

Since i have got my linksys router and cable i cant get onto yahoo online web chat, i tried there help system but they dont give any help really all i could get was:

"The default settings for our Chat servers are 8000-8030. You will need
TCP inbound and outbound access for these ports. In order to use Yahoo!
Chat's webcam feature, your firewall must permit outgoing TCP
connections to:

webcam.yahoo.com

on port 5100. "

But thats for a webcam, the problem is i cant load the java applet, it says click here for html version but that never ever loads its just a 404page, it says u cant connect if u have a firewall to java, the router has a software firewall, but i found on a webpage how to connect to irc by telling the router ports and stuff, does anyone know how to get on yahoo chat?

try to update your routers firmware and install it. had the same scenario before with my linksys router and upon updating it to the latest firmware, all was functioning well.
